Well I found a really amazing program. I liked it so much I now have it installed on all my computers. This program claims to work with your virus checker and can make it up to 243% more effective.

So what exactly does this awesome program do? Well it is the next generation in anti-virus software and what it does is set up a baseline and then warns and/or blocks potentially malicious files. It is very unfortunate but oftentimes the most common way that someone gets a computer virus is through an email attachment. The intent of the sender whether good or bad still has the same impact. You get a virus and now have a risk of loosing valuable information and/or incurring costly computer repair.

There are several precautions you can take to insure your data remains safe and secure from this threat.

• be very very cautious opening attachments even from people you know.

There are viruses that “possess” someone’s address book and will send the virus through their address book. So the person may not even know that he or she is sending you a virus.

• Always scan your files using a virus scan prior to opening them.

In this post I will tell you what I have found are the top free anti-virus programs on the market. The interesting thing is that the free anti-virus programs are almost as good and in some instances better than the ones that you pay hard earned money for.

One of the most popular things I get asked when people find out I am a “computer guy” is which anti-virus program is the best. I used to tell them I wasn’t sure but Norton and McAfee are very popular.

These are two of the best programs around for computer maintenance. I use these programs on my own computer as well as family, friends and users. This is one of my secret weapons to get the computer running great and help me earn my title of computer guru.

The first computer maintenance program cleans out your computer of more junk than you ever thought you had. So how does this junk get there? Well anytime you open a file or run a program your computer will often cache the information for faster access. When the program and/or file is closed that file is supposed to be erased and the memory reclaimed. Unfortunately, this often does not happen.
